This is Buzzy's Country Store blog designed to keep you apprised of what's going on at the Store. Buzzy's is a general store located in St. Mary's County, Southern Maryland near Pt. Lookout State Park. Buzzy and Jean Ridgell purchased the Store from Jean's father Harry Raley in 1953. Buzzy operated it until his passing in 2009. His son J. Scott Ridgell is the current owner.

Joe Stone and Friends

Joe Stone brought his Travelling Band of Friends down to Buzzy's Country Store for their annual South County party run Wednesday.   Each year Joe organizes a caravan of folks who meet at Guy's Distributing in Leonardtown and then ride down to Buzzy's for some fun and relaxation.



After visiting Buzzy's, the group then rolls over to Benji Goddard's barn for oysters and more fun and relaxation.  Thanks to my step-daughter Jennifer watching the Store for me and Bobby Wright giving me a ride, this was the first year that I was able to join the caravan to Benji's.  Great time, great supply of oysters and again a great group of friends.  My thanks to Joe for all of his efforts in organizing it.
