This is Buzzy's Country Store blog designed to keep you apprised of what's going on at the Store. Buzzy's is a general store located in St. Mary's County, Southern Maryland near Pt. Lookout State Park. Buzzy and Jean Ridgell purchased the Store from Jean's father Harry Raley in 1953. Buzzy operated it until his passing in 2009. His son J. Scott Ridgell is the current owner.

Do You Remember - September

September is here and birthday-wise in the Buzzy family we've got Duncan Lepper celebrating his on 5 September.  On the 6th  El-Chucko Mettam and Pat Woodburn celebrate theirs;  Jim Gray on the 8th.  David "Clutch" Raley on 9/11;  Jack Murphy 9/11; Barry Carter 9/12; my niece Amy Hofmeister Mathews on the 14th; Paul White the 15th; Joe Cullison celebrates on the 22nd followed by Bobby Wright on the 23rd; Lori McKay and Donna Wheatley celebrate  theirs' on the 25th.  And to conclude a  very busy birthday month, Joan Bean celebrates her day on the 27th.

Ok, fess up time, I snuck Barry Carter in there as a made up, honorary member of the Buzzy family.  If you don't recognize him, that is because you know him better by his stage name Barry White whose birthday really was on 12 September.
