This is Buzzy's Country Store blog designed to keep you apprised of what's going on at the Store. Buzzy's is a general store located in St. Mary's County, Southern Maryland near Pt. Lookout State Park. Buzzy and Jean Ridgell purchased the Store from Jean's father Harry Raley in 1953. Buzzy operated it until his passing in 2009. His son J. Scott Ridgell is the current owner.

19 Crimes - Talking to You


Buzzy's Country Store now has a stash of 19 Crimes in stock for those vino lovers among you who prefer a little criminality with your wine sipping ways.  It is an Australian wine named after and commemorating the individuals who were punished by being sent there for breaking one of 19 crimes back in the day (click here for rest of the story.)

Also, if you don't mind having your wine literally talk to you, download the Living wine app and you can hear each of the 19 Criminals story by scanning the bottle's label.  It is kinda cool even if it is a little freaky.  Check out the following example:
