This is Buzzy's Country Store blog designed to keep you apprised of what's going on at the Store. Buzzy's is a general store located in St. Mary's County, Southern Maryland near Pt. Lookout State Park. Buzzy and Jean Ridgell purchased the Store from Jean's father Harry Raley in 1953. Buzzy operated it until his passing in 2009. His son J. Scott Ridgell is the current owner.

Twofer Tuesday

As a follow up to yesterday's Lion King post, check out Netflix's Lion's Share documentary on how the song The Lion Sleeps Tonight was used by Disney in their movie.  Here is the trailer for the documentary.
And speaking of heirs feuding over music rights and royalties, Tom's kin are fighting over his stuff:
The last CD I purchased was Tom and the Heartbreakers' Hypnotic Eye  released in 2014.
(Wow, been 5 years since I bought any music!)

However, when I bought Hypnotic Eye, I never for a moment imagined that it would be the last CD that Tom ever made.

Lots of great tunes on the CD, but check out Power Drunk with the opening line "Who's gonna come and take this badass down?"  We all know whom Tom is writing about don't we - our very own Lying King.
